Jumping Monaco

The Jumping International of Monte Carlo began in 2006 and we are today at the 11^th edition.  It’s a prestigious event that is located at Port Hercule, that is setup for this special occasion, the waterfront is transformed into a luxurious equine venue requiring the hauling in of vast quantities of special sand for the competition, and the horses are housed close to the yachts. Monaco is a stage that is part of the Longines Global Champions Tour, a Formula one world championship of equine horsepower. Only the world’s thirty best riders are invited to this competition that runs for three days, 23^rd, 24^th, 25^th  June 2016.

There are amateur competitions during the day followed by top level events in the evening.

Each stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour is a Grand Prix which contributes points to a riders overall ranking. Each Grand Prix is endowed with a pursue of 300,000 euros (of approximately 100,000 euros for the winner) . The tour’s eighteen best riders will share a purse of one million euros.
